сущ. трюмный бимс – одиночные бимсы, устанавливавшиеся на половине высоты трюма через несколько шпангоутов друг от друга и связывавшие обе ветви шпангоута от борта до борта. Служили для усиления поперечной крепости судна на протяжении больших помещений.
